Wolfgang Van Halen, the former bassist for VAN HALEN, recently voiced his excitement for the impending summer 2024 tour with guitarist Joe Satriani, drummer Jason Bonham, bassist Michael Anthony, and vocalist Sammy Hagar in an interview on Q104.3’s “Out Of The Box With Jonathan Clarke.”
It is anticipated that the tour will primarily highlight VAN HALEN’s songs.
He said, “Yeah, that’s super cool, man. I’m stoked for it. I’m actually, I’m gonna be seeing Mike in Vegas, so I’m stoked to give him a hug.”
Wolfgang expressed his enthusiasm by saying he’s “stoked for it” and that he intends to see Michael Anthony in Vegas, looking forward to their reunion.
Thinking back to his early days with VAN HALEN, Wolfgang spoke about how intimidating it was to join the venerable rock group at the age of fifteen. He emphasized the lengthy practice time that preceded his debut, making him feel prepared and ready for the momentous occasion, in spite of the pressure.
Wolfgang admitted that the experience was a workout but also helped him build his own singing style when questioned about replicating the background vocals that Michael Anthony had initially recorded and how it affected his vocal style.
