Just two weeks after the passing of rock icon Ozzy Osbourne, his son Jack has shared a heartfelt tribute that’s as raw as it is beautiful.
In a video montage set to Ozzy’s 1983 ballad “So Tired,” Jack gathered some of his most cherished memories with his father—from backstage moments to family snapshots.
Jack admitted that he hesitated to post anything right after his dad’s death, explaining, “My heart has hurt too much.” Alongside the video, he wrote:
“He was so many things to so many people, but I was lucky enough to be part of the small group who got to call him ‘Dad.’ My heart is heavy with sadness, but also full of love and gratitude. I got 14,501 days with that man, and I know what a blessing that is.”
The tribute opens with a sweet throwback of a young Jack joining Ozzy for a 1997 radio interview, then takes viewers through decades of laughter, love, and family life—reminding fans that behind the wild rock persona was a devoted father.
Remembering the Prince of Darkness
Ozzy Osbourne, legendary frontman of Black Sabbath and one of rock’s most unforgettable figures, passed away on July 22 at the age of 76. His family released a statement saying he was surrounded by loved ones in his final moments and asked for privacy during their time of grief.
On August 5, his death certificate confirmed the cause: a heart attack, with coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease listed as contributing factors. Ozzy had been living with Parkinson’s for more than two years.
Ozzy is survived by his wife, Sharon, and his children Kelly, Aimee, Jack, Jessica, Louis, and Elliott.
Fans around the world mourned his loss, but the most touching tribute came from his hometown of Birmingham, England. On July 30, thousands lined the streets as his funeral procession passed, honoring the man whose music shaped generations. The following day, Ozzy was laid to rest in a private service surrounded by family.
Even in his absence, the music, the memories, and the love remain.
