“Chris Stapleton Soars with ‘Loving You on My Mind’ alongside The War and Treaty and Jennifer Hudson”

Chris Stapleton recently appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show and delivered a special performance of his song “Loving You on My Mind” from his latest album “Higher.” Joining him on stage were Jennifer Hudson herself and the country duo the War and Treaty, making the performance extra special.

Stapleton began the song with the War and Treaty, singing alongside his band. About halfway through, Hudson joined them on stage to bring the performance to a powerful conclusion. After the performance, Hudson jokingly asked if she could join Stapleton on tour.

Currently, Stapleton is on his 2024 All-American Road Show tour, featuring special guests the War and Treaty on select dates. The tour runs through December and includes supporting acts such as Marcus King, Nikki Lane, and Charley Crockett, among others.

This isn’t the first time Hudson and Stapleton have teamed up. They previously performed together at the 55th Annual CMA Awards in 2021, delivering memorable performances of Aretha Franklin’s “Night Life” and Stapleton’s rendition of “You Are My Sunshine.” Later this week, Stapleton will perform at the 59th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, where he is nominated for five awards, including Entertainer of the Year.
