Foo Fighters’ frontman Dave Grohl pulled off an unforgettable prank at Welcome To Rockville, leaving fans stunned and cheering for more! 🎸🔥
During the set, Grohl joked about finally taking a guitar solo, teasing, “You may think, ‘That guy can’t play a ****ing solo.’ You wanna see me do a guitar solo right now?” He then launched into Van Halen’s legendary Eruption solo, seemingly shredding like a rock god.
But just as the crowd went wild, Grohl dramatically raised his hands to reveal he wasn’t playing at all! 😲 Cameras then cut to Wolfgang Van Halen hidden backstage, flawlessly delivering the iconic solo with a cheeky grin.
Wolfgang, who had vowed not to play his father’s songs after honoring him at the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts, made a special exception for this fun moment. He even threw in a quick riff from Hot For Teacher before the Foo Fighters dedicated My Hero to both Wolfgang and his legendary dad, Eddie Van Halen. ❤️🎶
Wolfgang’s band, Mammoth WVH, will join Foo Fighters on tour this summer alongside The Hives, Pretenders, and more. Don’t miss out on the rock magic! 🤘
