Country music queen Dolly Parton is stepping into a whole new spotlight—rock and roll! Her highly anticipated album, Rockstar, set to drop on November 17, features an incredible mix of iconic rock covers and original songs.
One of the most exciting moments on the album is Dolly’s powerful version of “Let It Be”—and she didn’t go it alone. She’s joined by none other than Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, the two surviving Beatles, along with legendary musicians Mick Fleetwood and Peter Frampton. It’s a moving collaboration that brings together generations of music history in one unforgettable track.
But that’s just the beginning. Rockstar boasts over 40 guest artists, including Debbie Harry on “Heart of Glass,” Lynyrd Skynyrd on “Free Bird,” and Elton John on “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me.” Alongside these powerful duets and covers, Dolly has also written nine original songs, making the album a true celebration of her love for rock music.
This isn’t Dolly’s first preview of the album—back in July, she released a bold take on Queen’s anthem, “We Are the Champions/We Will Rock You.”
In a heartfelt statement, Dolly shared:
“I am so honored and excited to have worked with some of the most iconic singers and musicians in history. Singing these legendary songs was pure joy.”
She added with her signature warmth:
“I hope everyone enjoys the album as much as I’ve loved creating it!”
With star-studded collaborations and her signature passion, Rockstar promises to be a genre-crossing, heart-pounding ride fans won’t want to miss.
