Brian Johnson from AC/DC Teams Up with Lady Gaga for an Epic, Unforgettable Performance in the Carpool Karaoke Episode!

AC/DC’s legendary frontman Brian Johnson made a surprise appearance in the newly released *Carpool Karaoke* Christmas special.

The festive episode, which started streaming on Apple TV on December 15, features Zane Lowe as the host, filling in for James Corden. Lowe takes viewers on a musical road trip through Tokyo, Los Angeles, and Springfield, joined by pop stars Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga, and Chappell Roan. Together, they sing their own hits, holiday classics, and cover songs.

During Lady Gaga’s segment, she shares a touching video of her late grandmother, a big rock music fan, singing AC/DC’s *Highway to Hell*. Lowe then surprises Gaga by making an unexpected stop—where none other than Brian Johnson hops into the driver’s seat.

Gaga, visibly shocked, joins Johnson in a lively duet of *Highway to Hell*. She then reveals a fun fact: as a teenager, she had a small role in AC/DC’s *Stiff Upper Lip* music video.

“You wanna hear something funny? I was in the *Stiff Upper Lip* video,” Gaga tells Johnson. “I was 17, just an extra in the back, headbanging. But they told me, ‘Hmmm. Don’t headbang. We want it to be modern.’ And I was like, ‘Nope! That’s the only move I know!’”

The unexpected moment made for a memorable highlight in the holiday special, blending rock ‘n’ roll nostalgia with festive fun.
