Ten-year-old Malya wowed everyone on The Voice Kids Germany with her energetic performance of Anastacia’s “I’m Outta Love.” The song is tough, needing both attitude and a strong low register, but Malya handled it like a pro. Her confident and smooth delivery was hard to believe from someone so young.
Malya’s performance shined as she hit the lower notes perfectly and soared through the higher notes in the chorus. She effortlessly switched between bold sections and delicate vocals, impressing the judges from the first line.
As soon as she hit the chorus, judges Michi Beck and Smudo turned their chairs, followed by Álvaro Soler, Lena Meyer-Landrut, and Wincent Weiss, giving her a full sweep. Malya’s stage presence was just as strong as her voice, getting the judges up and dancing along, a rare sight on the show.
After her performance, the judges were stunned to learn Malya was only 10. They loved her rendition so much that they asked for an encore. When she sang again, all five judges joined her onstage, creating a heartwarming moment. Malya’s family watched proudly from the side.
In a chat with Beck and Smudo, Malya shared that she learned to sing before she could talk, starting with melodies before adding words. When Meyer-Landrut asked about her first song, Malya revealed she was a huge Elsa fan, meaning her parents heard a lot of “Let It Go” at home.
